A Night of Puppetry

On Thursday, May 18 at 6:30 pm, the library will be presenting some puppet shows along with information on how to do your own.  We will have a sign up for interested kids or adults who would like to create their own puppet show to be presented on Thursday, June 22.  Both programs will run from 6:30 until 7:15.  If we get lots of people with their prepared shows, the June 22 presentation may go a bit longer.

The library has many puppets from which to choose or be inspired.  For the beginner or those unsure how to start, we also have books "starring" some of the animal puppets, which can be a great way to get going.

Friends of the Library Present...

Oak Wilt - what it is, how to spot it, how to prevent the spread, and it's devastating effects on oak trees and other plant life.

Britany VanderWall, District Forest Manager for Cheboygan and Presque Isle will be speaking on this at the library meeting room on Thursday, June 1st at 7:"00pm.
